Each year we have elections at the Group, District, AIS, and Area Level:
Election Schedule: GRs & Alt GRs should be elected by August 1st. The Alt GR would then participate in the AIS elections at the September meeting at the Parkville Senior Center. The newly elected GR’s would then go to the Area 24 Assembly in October to elect the Area Officers.
At group level
- Each group will elect a new Group Rep., Alt Group Rep. & Treasurer.
- Your new Alt. Group Rep will elect the new trusted servants at the Baltimore Area Al-Anon Information Service.
- Elections at the group level need to be completed by August 1st so the new Alt. Group Rep.can elect our new AIS coordinators in September.
- Group Reps. will attend the Area assembly in October and elect new Area officers and coordinators.
AIS Positions
Positions serve for 3 years and attend the Monthly AIS meeting, the 2nd Tuesday of each month, except June & December. READ THE JOB DESCRIPTIONS…

ABOUT SERVICE IN AL-ANON
An Al-Anon Information Service (AIS) is a workgroup which serves as an avenue for local Public Outreach cooperating with the Professional Community and Public Institutions. AIS holds monthly meetings attended by all Alternate Group Representatives where activity reports, including a financial update, are made and matters regarding the groups are discussed. Individual Group problems are discussed in light of the Twelve Traditions remembering to offer experience as opposed to advice. All AIS positions as well as Alternate Group Reps are open this fall. – Al-Anon Service Manual pgs. 56-7
