The 2025 Fall Convention in Towson MD Oct 31st – Nov 2nd is hoping to have Alateen participation. Please consider filling out the survey linked below to gauge the level of interest for potential Alateen events at the convention to help the committee and Alateen Sponsors plan the best event possible.
Alateen is a fellowship of young people, ages 9-19, who have struggled with someone’s drinking. We come together for mutual support with our peers.
What brought us to Alateen? Some of us felt angry, depressed, or guilty, blaming ourselves for the drinking. Many felt alone, believing no one else would understand. Some of us felt like the only adult in the household. There may have seemed no way out.
What keeps us coming back to Alateen? The progress we see in ourselves, and in the other members of our group. Alcoholism is a progressive disease, which means, untreated, it gets worse over time. It’s inspiring to see people getting better instead!
The link below connects to a page just for us. The best way to learn about Alateen, though, is to attend a few meetings with an open mind.

You need not be alone...
You need not be alone…
It’s likely that at least one out of every ten children lives in a home affected by alcoholism.
It certainly doesn’t seem that way. Nobody posts or boasts about the shameful situations in their homes. And few have any idea that perfectionism, anger, and isolation are common effects of living with this family disease.
We hope to see you at the 11 AM Sunday Evergreen Alateen meeting in Baltimore!
Sunday Evergreen Alateen Meeting Flyer, format, letter to parents, and more here:
Alateen provides a positive space for people ages nine to nineteen to share what they are doing to make their own lives better — regardless of what anyone else does. It draws on the wisdom of millions of Al-Anon and Alateen members, who understand the challenges as perhaps few others can.
These questions may help you decide whether Alateen is right for you…
If you answered “yes” to any of those questions, please consider visiting an Alateen meeting in Maryland!
